Nara, Japan - 2008
I used to practice martial arts. So during the few times I was in Japan, I tried to meet some masters to speak to and practice with. There was a small Kyûdô (Japanese archery) dôjô near the place where I stayed in Nara and I spent a few days there practicing. On the last day I asked if I could take a few pictures. I followed her during the whole process of firing the arrow (which takes up to 5-10 minutes) and although someone was shooting her, she managed to keep her focus and her center, hitting the target right in the center. Truly magnificent. A true master.
